After a fire at a Telangana e-bike showroom, 8 persons were killed, while numerous more jumped to their deaths.

According to authorities, at least 8 persons took their last breath after a massive fire broke out at an electric shop. The incident took place in Secunderabad on Monday night.
The fire started at 10 p.m.and spread to a lodge and a restaurant on the top four stories. The hotel personnel and customers were aware of the fire and smoke and called the fire department. Firefighters raced to the scene to extinguish the flames.
A preliminary investigation indicates that it took place because of electric scooters fueling up their recharge on the ground level. This might have resulted in a short circuit or fire, according to authorities.

Reportedly, at least 25 people were found to be stuck in the building, with some jumping from their windows. However, some of them got help from firefighters.
“It appears that there are 23 rooms on each of the four stories of the hotel. Then, the smoke traveled the stairway from the lowest to the top floor, totally engulfing all floors.”
“Some persons who were sleeping on the first and second floors got to the corridor through the dense smoke and perished asphyxiated,” said Hyderabad Police Chief CV Anand, who inspected the scene. A fire at a Telangana e-bike dealership killed eight people, and many more leaped to their deaths.


After the explosion occurred out in the showroom on the bottom floor, heavy smoke blanketed the lodge on the building’s top story. “The exact cause of the fire, whether it took place by a fault current or charging of batteries in the cellar. Or it took place because of the very first floor where the motorbike showroom is located, will be disclosed following the Fire Agency’s investigation,” police added.

And all the while, the Transportation Ministry has taken notice of the fire. Moreover, an investigation is on record to find the reason for the fire. In a statement, Telangana Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao expressed his condolences for the occurrence. Also, he stated that the state government will provide Rs three lakh as compensation to the families of the dead.
